Identity re-design for Prisms Gallery in downtown Salem, OR. Prisms, Gallery associated with Partnerships in Community Living, facilitates opportunities for artists with developmental disabilities to create and sell their work. Prisms’ previous identity caused them to be mistaken for a children's art organization even though the majority Prisms’ artists are adults. The client sought a solution that would welcome the entire community and at the same time give Prisms the look of a professional art gallery.
This re-design is a significant simplification of the previous identity. The notion of white light refracted into the bands of the visible color spectrum is carried over into the new logo with a more sophisticated and deliberate execution.
